Quick Cibu Updo!

Any new moms out there? Well, Cibu's brand manager Jenn just had a baby boy and is managing to keep her hair off her face and manageable :) She shows you how in just a few simple steps:

1) Spray Dry Kwon Do Dry Shampoo throughout hair (you can also blowdry for more volume)
2) Twist sides up and back, crossing in the back and securing with a bobby pin
3) Continue to twist and pin layers of hair until all hair is pinned
4) Accessorize with a cute headband
5) Spray with Pho Finish Hair Spray for hold

A few of my favorite Cibu things...

Let's face it--Every Cibu product is top of the line, and won't go up for sale until it meets its very high standards. Proof? When Dry Kwon Do came out and some bottles were defective, it was recalled for quite some time until it was perfected. So when I blog about this product or that, I'm being very honest with how fantastic the product is for its specific purpose. But we all have favorites. And there are some Cibu products that I just don't know what I would do without! Here are my top 2 favorites at the moment:

Favorite Shampoo and Conditioner Duo:
*Hi-Ya! Keratin Reconstructive Shampoo and Conditioner-- a fabulous duo for someone who spends a lot of time heat-styling their hair like I do. It protects, rebuilds and repairs the hair cuticle from any heat damage and helps tame frizz. Not to mention the intoxicating fragrance and fabulous packaging! I initially purchased these thinking I would use them occasionally, but they've turned into my go-to shampoo/conditioner duo for daily use.

Favorite Styling Product:
*Dry Kwon Do Dry Shampoo! Hands down. This product removes oil at the scalp to bring unwashed hair looking fresh. The benefits? Being able to go several days without washing your hair and no one being able to tell. It also adds volume and even creates texture--great for an updo with little effort.

Reactivate Curls with Moisture Mist!

Do you ever have soft, bouncy curls when you leave in the morning, only to come back later to dry and lifeless curls? Spring Roll Moisture Mist to the rescue--a product that reactivates and refreshes curls while moisturizing and combating frizz for a soft, touchable finish. You can use it alone or to reactivate Spring Roll Soft Curl Gel and/or Spring Roll Shaping Crème (which is described in more detail in the previous blog post). It's color safe too!

To use? Spritz generously into damp or dry curls and gently scrunch. Use throughout the day to activate curls, fight frizz and add moisture.

Spring Roll Shaping Creme: A Must for Curly-Haired Ladies!

When I want my naturally curly--but frizzy--hair to have the look of soft, touchable curls, I turn to Spring Roll Shaping Creme. It's a color-safe balm that defines and holds curl shape while moisturizing and combating frizz for a soft finish with little effort. To use, just emulsify a quarter-size amount in hands and scrunch into damp curls. I usually towel dry after washing hair and then scrunch it in. You can finger curl, diffuse, or air dry--just don't touch while it dries! Once it's dry, you can use it to texturize.

As with all Cibu products, Spring Roll Shaping Creme is infused with botanical benefits. Aside from the signature Cibu botanical trio of bamboo, water lily and lotus flower, it also has kukui nut to lock in moisture, Hawaiian white ginger root to soften and add shine, aloe to restore moisture and serve as a natural UV inhibitor, silk amino acids to protect the hair from dehydration, and jojoba seed oil to retain moisture. Shang High Root Booster-- A foolproof volumizing product!

This weekend, I got far more compliments on my hair than usual. What changed?! It looked healthy with a good boost at the roots--from Cibu's own Shang High Root Booster.
